At Kinder Downfall

I'm an engineering director currently working at Citrix in Cambridge, UK (from their acquisition of XenSource) as a leader of around 25 software developers and QA engineers. I enjoy building new, innovative products. Previously I have been a systems engineer, project manager, and team/development lead.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, am an enthusiastic walker, and also enjoy photography. The photo above was taken on a somewhat foggy walk to Kinder Downfall during a weekend trip to the Peak District.

Update: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS has this package in the main repository.

I made a netatalk 2.2.1 backport for Ubuntu 11.04 amd64 so I could use OS X Lion with Time Machine. Although this was a simple backport, I had previously built a version of the 2.2.0 release that required slightly more interesting packaging steps as it needed a patch or two. The packages resulting from that exercise are now superseded, but the documentation of the process is probably still useful: see the original page on netatalk 2.2.0 for more information.
